Siddur

Why we created our own siddur

About the siddur

Made for beginners, rooted in tradition

It uses a large font for easy reading.

We have a full online version available for immediate accessibility for people who join us for services via Zoom. We also have a high-contrast version for those who need it.

It is a kitzur version, meaning abbreviated or shortened. Based on Rav Saadia Gaon's ancient siddur, it contains mostly only the required words and prayers and blessings based on halachah, Jewish law, with a few additions specific to our community.

Two versions
Teal blue: Messianic (original)

Has a few Messianic references to Yeshua, such as the Avinu (Our Father) prayer and other verses from the Brit Hadashah.

Green: Traditional

Made for our non-Messianic friends, who requested it for their community.

Every time my wife and I have visited Benei Avraham, we have been greeted with hospitality. The Rabbi and Rebettzin are very friendly and they love discussing Torah, Halacha, and Yehoshua with those willing to do so.

I have only participated online, but feel a part of the family even from Alabama. My Hebrew has improved and I've learned halacha in such a gentle way. Our family has been able to absorb it and walk in the new things we have learned. I hope to be able to meet them in person someday!
