The Narrow Path
Yeshua’s teachings that lead to eternal life: a weekly Bible study for teens and their families, in Arlington and on Zoom.
Every Sunday at 4:00 pm Central, families of all ages gather at the Messianic Jewish Community Center in Arlington, Texas, to study Torah Club’s The Narrow Path together, with a focus on teenagers. Stay afterward for dance instruction.
Walking the path that leads to life
The Narrow Path: Yeshua’s Teachings That Lead to Eternal Life is this year’s Torah Club study from First Fruits of Zion. Week by week, it follows the Torah portion and opens up what Yeshua actually taught, heard in its original Jewish setting alongside the Torah, the Prophets and first-century Jewish teaching.
Our group studies it together as families, with the discussion aimed at teenagers. Teens learn to read the Bible for themselves, ask honest questions, and put Yeshua’s words into practice at school, at home and with friends.
- Yeshua’s own words. What the Master taught, rather than ideas built up around him later.
- The Jewish context. His teaching rooted in the Torah, the Prophets and the kingdom of heaven.
- A way of life. Repentance, mercy, forgiveness, prayer, humility, generosity and faithfulness, lived out day by day.
“Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate, and hard is the way, which leads unto life, and few there are that find it.”
What a Sunday looks like
Read the lesson
Each lesson has a lesson book with commentary on the week’s Bible reading and focus questions. Families read it together during the week, then we discuss it the following Sunday.
Watch and discuss
We meet at 4:00 pm in Arlington and on Zoom, watch the video lesson, and talk through the focus questions from the lesson we read that week.
Pray together
We close in prayer for one another, our families and Israel.
Dance
After the study, stay for dance instruction, a great way for teens and families to learn and celebrate together.
