Colossians, Chapter 4
Paul tells masters to give their servants what is just, and asks the Colossians to continue in prayer and to walk in wisdom toward outsiders. He sends Tychicus and Onesimus, passes on greetings from Aristarchus, Mark, Epaphras, Luke and others, and closes in his own hand.
4:1Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
4:2Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
4:3Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Messiah, for which I am also in bonds:
4:4That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
4:5Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
4:6Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.
4:7All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Master:
4:8Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
4:9With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.
4:10Aristarchus my fellowprisoner greets you, and Mark (Marcus), sister’s son to Bar-Naba (Barnabas), (touching whom you received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)
4:11And Yeshua (Jesus), which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellow workers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
4:12Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Messiah, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
4:13For I bear him record, that he has a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
4:14Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
4:15Greet the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the congregation which is in his house.
4:16And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the congregation of the Laodiceans; and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
4:17And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Master, that you fulfil it.”
4:18The greeting by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

Sources & method
- English translation
- The King James Version (public domain), lightly modernized by Benei Avraham: “thee/thou/ye” become “you,” older verb forms are updated, and archaic words are replaced only where the meaning would otherwise be unclear. People and places with Hebrew names carry them, with the King James spelling in parentheses the first time on each page (e.g., Yeshua (Jesus)); Greek and Roman names keep their English form. Christ is “Messiah”; Lord, used of Yeshua, is “Master”; where the Greek has Kyrios for God, the English keeps “the Lord.” “Church” is “congregation,” “baptize” is “immerse,” and the Holy Ghost is “the Holy Spirit.”

Changes: shown verse by verse beside the English and Greek, without its section headings and footnotes; where it joins verses, the later verse points to the joined one; 3 John 15 is shown with verse 14.
