First Portion
At Shabbat Minchah on Shabbat Naso, and on Monday and Thursday mornings, this first portion of Beha'alotcha is read in three aliyot: 8:1–4, 8:5–9 and 8:10–14.
8:1And Hashem spoke unto Moshe (Moses), saying,
8:1Y habló Hashem a Moshé (Moisés), diciendo:
8:1హషేమ్ మోషేతో ఇట్లనెను:
Vayedaber Adonai el-Mosheh lemor.
אוַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃
8:2“Speak unto Aharon (Aaron), and say unto him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick.’”
8:2«Habla a Aharón (Aarón), y dile: “Cuando enciendas las lámparas, las siete lámparas alumbrarán hacia el frente del candelero”».
8:2“నీవు అహరోన్తో (అహరోను) ఇట్లు చెప్పుము: ‘నీవు దీపములను వెలిగించునప్పుడు ఆ యేడు దీపములు దీపవృక్షమునకు ఎదురుగా వెలుగిచ్చునట్లు వెలిగింపవలెను.’”
Daber el-Aharon ve'amarta elav beha'alotḥa et-hanerot el-mul penei hamenorah ya'iru shiv'at hanerot.
בדַּבֵּר֙ אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֵלָ֑יו בְּהַעֲלֹֽתְךָ֙ אֶת־הַנֵּרֹ֔ת אֶל־מוּל֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה יָאִ֖ירוּ שִׁבְעַ֥ת הַנֵּרֽוֹת׃
8:3And Aharon did so; he lit its lamps in front of the candlestick, as Hashem commanded Moshe.
8:3Y Aharón lo hizo así; encendió sus lámparas enfrente del candelero, como Hashem lo mandó a Moshé.
8:3అహరోన్ ఆలాగు చేసెను; హషేమ్ మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు అతడు దీపవృక్షమునకు ఎదురుగా దాని దీపములను వెలిగించెను.
Vaya'as ken Aharon el-mul penei hamenorah he'elah neroteha ka'asher tzivah Adonai et-Mosheh.

8:4And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold; unto its shaft, unto its flowers, it was beaten work; according unto the pattern which Hashem had shown Moshe, so he made the candlestick.

Sixth Portion
The portion opens with the two verses spoken when the ark set out and when it rested, “Rise up, Hashem …” (10:35–36). In the Torah scroll they are set apart by two inverted letters נ (nun).
10:35And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moshe said, “Rise up, Hashem, and let Your enemies be scattered; and let those that hate You flee before You.”
10:35Y aconteció que cuando el arca partía, Moshé decía: «Levántate, Hashem, y sean dispersados tus enemigos, y huyan de tu presencia los que te aborrecen».
10:35ఆ మందసము సాగినప్పుడు మోషే, “హషేమ్, లెమ్ము; నీ శత్రువులు చెదరిపోవుదురుగాక, నిన్ను ద్వేషించువారు నీ యెదుటనుండి పారిపోవుదురుగాక” అనెను.

Maftir
The Maftir repeats the last verses of the Seventh Portion: Miriam is shut out of the camp seven days, and the people do not journey until she is brought in again (12:15). Beha'alotcha never falls on a special Shabbat.
12:14And Hashem said unto Moshe, “If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.”

Haftarah
Beha’alotcha opens with Aharon lighting the seven lamps of the candlestick (8:2); in the haftarah Zecharyah sees a menorah all of gold with its seven lamps (4:2), and hears, “Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, says Hashem of hosts” (4:6). All communities read this haftarah. The same passage is read on Shabbat Chanukah.
2:14“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Tziyon (Zion); for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in your midst,” says Hashem.
2:14«Canta y alégrate, hija de Tziyón (Sion); porque he aquí, vengo, y moraré en medio de ti», dice Hashem.
2:14“త్సియోన్ (సీయోను) కుమారీ, సంతోషముగా నుండి పాటలు పాడుము; ఇదిగో, నేను వచ్చి నీ మధ్యను నివాసము చేతును” అని హషేమ్ సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

Sources & method
- Hebrew text
- The Masoretic text with vowels (nikkud) and cantillation marks (ta’amim): the Westminster Leningrad Codex, from the open-source Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible. Where the written text (ketiv) differs from the reading (qere), the reading is shown and the written form follows in small type.
- English translation
- The King James Version (public domain), lightly modernized by Benei Avraham: “thee/thou/ye” become “you,” older verb forms are updated (“hath” to “has,” “begat” to “begot”), and archaic words are replaced only where the meaning would otherwise be unclear. People and places carry their Hebrew names, with the familiar English name in parentheses the first time (e.g., Moshe (Moses)). The Divine Name (יהוה, “the LORD” in the KJV) is written “Hashem”; “God” (Elohim) is unchanged. Verse numbers follow the Hebrew Bible.
- Spanish translation
- The Reina-Valera 1909 (public domain), lightly modernized by Benei Avraham in the same way as the English: older spellings and verb forms are updated (“á” to “a,” “bendecirte he” to “te bendeciré”), people and places carry their Hebrew names with the familiar Spanish name in parentheses the first time (e.g., Avram (Abram)), the Divine Name (“Jehová” in the Reina-Valera) is written “Hashem,” and “Dios” (Elohim) is unchanged. Choose the translation with the Language drop-down; the choice is remembered on this device.
- Telugu translation
- The Telugu Old Version of the Bible Society of India (Satyavedamu, public domain), lightly updated by Benei Avraham in the same way as the English and Spanish: the Divine Name (“యెహోవా” in the Old Version) is written “హషేమ్” (Hashem), people and places carry their Hebrew names with the familiar Telugu name in parentheses the first time (e.g., అవ్రామ్ (అబ్రాము)), quotation marks are added, and words damaged in the digital source text are restored. The classical style of the Old Version is kept. Choose the translation with the Language drop-down; the choice is remembered on this device.
- Transliteration
- Produced from the Hebrew with the open-source hebrew-transliteration library, adapted to Sephardic/Israeli pronunciation and reviewed by hand: ḥ for Chet and Chaf, tz for Tzadi, k for Kuf, and the Divine Name read “Adonai.” Names are capitalized.
- Aliyot & haftarot
- Portion divisions and haftarah readings follow the standard Jewish calendar outside Israel, cross-checked with Chabad.org and Hebcal. Ashkenazi and Sephardic haftarah customs are both shown.
- Hebrew font
- SBL Hebrew, by the Society of Biblical Literature.
