33:1These are the journeys of the children of Yisrael (Israel), who went forth out of the land of Mitzrayim (Egypt) with their armies under the hand of Moshe (Moses) and Aharon (Aaron).

אאֵ֜לֶּה מַסְעֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָצְא֛וּ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם לְצִבְאֹתָ֑ם בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְאַהֲרֹֽן׃

33:2And Moshe wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Hashem; and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

בוַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶת־מוֹצָאֵיהֶ֛ם לְמַסְעֵיהֶ֖ם עַל־פִּ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְאֵ֥לֶּה מַסְעֵיהֶ֖ם לְמוֹצָאֵיהֶֽם׃

33:3And they departed from Ra’meses (Rameses) in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Pesaḥ (Passover) the children of Yisrael went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Mitzrim (Egyptians).

גוַיִּסְע֤וּ מֵֽרַעְמְסֵס֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֑וֹן מִֽמָּחֳרַ֣ת הַפֶּ֗סַח יָצְא֤וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּיָ֣ד רָמָ֔ה לְעֵינֵ֖י כָּל־מִצְרָֽיִם׃

33:4For the Mitzrim buried all their firstborn, whom Hashem had struck among them; upon their gods also Hashem executed judgments.

דוּמִצְרַ֣יִם מְקַבְּרִ֗ים אֵת֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִכָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה בָּהֶ֖ם כָּל־בְּכ֑וֹר וּבֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם עָשָׂ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה שְׁפָטִֽים׃

33:5And the children of Yisrael journeyed from Ra’meses, and encamped in Sukkot (Succoth).

הוַיִּסְע֥וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵרַעְמְסֵ֑ס וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּסֻכֹּֽת׃

33:6And they departed from Sukkot, and encamped in Etam (Etham), which is at the edge of the wilderness.

ווַיִּסְע֖וּ מִסֻּכֹּ֑ת וַיַּחֲנ֣וּ בְאֵתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֖ר בִּקְצֵ֥ה הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃

33:7And they journeyed from Etam, and turned back unto Pi HaḤirot (Pi-hahiroth), which is before Ba’al Tzefon (Baal-zephon); and they encamped before Migdol.

זוַיִּסְעוּ֙ מֵֽאֵתָ֔ם וַיָּ֨שָׁב֙ עַל־פִּ֣י הַחִירֹ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־פְּנֵ֖י בַּ֣עַל צְפ֑וֹן וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י מִגְדֹּֽל׃

33:8And they departed from before Pi HaḤirot, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etam, and encamped in Marah.

חוַיִּסְעוּ֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַֽחִירֹ֔ת וַיַּֽעַבְר֥וּ בְתוֹךְ־הַיָּ֖ם הַמִּדְבָּ֑רָה וַיֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ דֶּ֣רֶךְ שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת יָמִים֙ בְּמִדְבַּ֣ר אֵתָ֔ם וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמָרָֽה׃

33:9And they journeyed from Marah, and came unto Eilim (Elim); and in Eilim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there.

טוַיִּסְעוּ֙ מִמָּרָ֔ה וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ אֵילִ֑מָה וּ֠בְאֵילִם שְׁתֵּ֣ים עֶשְׂרֵ֞ה עֵינֹ֥ת מַ֛יִם וְשִׁבְעִ֥ים תְּמָרִ֖ים וַיַּחֲנוּ־שָֽׁם׃

33:10And they journeyed from Eilim, and encamped by the Yam Suf (Red sea).

יוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵאֵילִ֑ם וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ עַל־יַם־סֽוּף׃

33:11And they journeyed from the Yam Suf, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

יאוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִיַּם־ס֑וּף וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמִדְבַּר־סִֽין׃

33:12And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dofkah (Dophkah).

יבוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִמִּדְבַּר־סִ֑ין וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּדָפְקָֽה׃

33:13And they departed from Dofkah, and encamped in Alush.

יגוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִדָּפְקָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּאָלֽוּשׁ׃

33:14And they journeyed from Alush, and encamped at Refidim (Rephidim), where there was no water for the people to drink.

ידוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵאָל֑וּשׁ וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בִּרְפִידִ֔ם וְלֹא־הָ֨יָה שָׁ֥ם מַ֛יִם לָעָ֖ם לִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃

33:15And they departed from Refidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

טווַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵרְפִידִ֑ם וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמִדְבַּ֥ר סִינָֽי׃

33:16And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped at Kivrot HaTa’avah (Kibroth-hattaavah).

טזוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִמִּדְבַּ֣ר סִינָ֑י וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּקִבְרֹ֥ת הַֽתַּאֲוָֽה׃

33:17And they departed from Kivrot HaTa’avah, and encamped at Ḥatzerot (Hazeroth).

יזוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִקִּבְרֹ֣ת הַֽתַּאֲוָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בַּחֲצֵרֹֽת׃

33:18And they departed from Ḥatzerot, and encamped in Ritmah (Rithmah).

יחוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵחֲצֵרֹ֑ת וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּרִתְמָֽה׃

33:19And they departed from Ritmah, and encamped at Rimmon Peretz (Rimmon-parez).

יטוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵרִתְמָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּרִמֹּ֥ן פָּֽרֶץ׃

33:20And they departed from Rimmon Peretz, and encamped in Livnah (Libnah).

כוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵרִמֹּ֣ן פָּ֑רֶץ וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּלִבְנָֽה׃

33:21And they journeyed from Livnah, and encamped at Rissah.

כאוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִלִּבְנָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּרִסָּֽה׃

33:22And they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelatah (Kehelathah).

כבוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵרִסָּ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בִּקְהֵלָֽתָה׃

33:23And they went from Kehelatah, and encamped in mount Shefer (Shapher).

כגוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִקְּהֵלָ֑תָה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּהַר־שָֽׁפֶר׃

33:24And they journeyed from mount Shefer, and encamped in Ḥaradah (Haradah).

כדוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵֽהַר־שָׁ֑פֶר וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בַּחֲרָדָֽה׃

33:25And they journeyed from Ḥaradah, and encamped in Makhelot (Makheloth).

כהוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵחֲרָדָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמַקְהֵלֹֽת׃

33:26And they journeyed from Makhelot, and encamped at Taḥat (Tahath).

כווַיִּסְע֖וּ מִמַּקְהֵלֹ֑ת וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּתָֽחַת׃

33:27And they departed from Taḥat, and encamped at Teraḥ (Tarah).

כזוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִתָּ֑חַת וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּתָֽרַח׃

33:28And they journeyed from Teraḥ, and encamped in Mitkah (Mithcah).

כחוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִתָּ֑רַח וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמִתְקָֽה׃

33:29And they went from Mitkah, and encamped in Ḥashmonah (Hashmonah).

כטוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִמִּתְקָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּחַשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

33:30And they departed from Ḥashmonah, and encamped at Moserot (Moseroth).

לוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵֽחַשְׁמֹנָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּמֹסֵרֽוֹת׃

33:31And they departed from Moserot, and encamped in Benei Ya’akan (Bene-jaakan).

לאוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִמֹּסֵר֑וֹת וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בִּבְנֵ֥י יַעֲקָֽן׃

33:32And they journeyed from Benei Ya’akan, and encamped at Ḥor HaGidgad (Hor-hagidgad).

לבוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִבְּנֵ֣י יַעֲקָ֑ן וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּחֹ֥ר הַגִּדְגָּֽד׃

33:33And they went from Ḥor HaGidgad, and encamped in Yotvatah (Jotbathah).

לגוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵחֹ֣ר הַגִּדְגָּ֑ד וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּיָטְבָֽתָה׃

33:34And they journeyed from Yotvatah, and encamped at Avronah (Ebronah).

לדוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִיָּטְבָ֑תָה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּעַבְרֹנָֽה׃

33:35And they departed from Avronah, and encamped at Etzyon Gever (Ezion-gaber).

להוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵֽעַבְרֹנָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּעֶצְי֥וֹן גָּֽבֶר׃

33:36And they journeyed from Etzyon Gever, and encamped in the wilderness of Tzin (Zin), which is Kadesh.

לווַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵעֶצְי֣וֹן גָּ֑בֶר וַיַּחֲנ֥וּ בְמִדְבַּר־צִ֖ן הִ֥וא קָדֵֽשׁ׃

33:37And they journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, at the edge of the land of Edom.

לזוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִקָּדֵ֑שׁ וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בְּהֹ֣ר הָהָ֔ר בִּקְצֵ֖ה אֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃

33:38And Aharon the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of Hashem, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Yisrael had come out of the land of Mitzrayim, on the first day of the fifth month.

לחוַיַּעַל֩ אַהֲרֹ֨ן הַכֹּהֵ֜ן אֶל־הֹ֥ר הָהָ֛ר עַל־פִּ֥י יְהוָ֖ה וַיָּ֣מָת שָׁ֑ם בִּשְׁנַ֣ת הָֽאַרְבָּעִ֗ים לְצֵ֤את בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִׁ֖י בְּאֶחָ֥ד לַחֹֽדֶשׁ׃

33:39And Aharon was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died in mount Hor.

לטוְאַהֲרֹ֔ן בֶּן־שָׁלֹ֧שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים וּמְאַ֖ת שָׁנָ֑ה בְּמֹת֖וֹ בְּהֹ֥ר הָהָֽר׃

33:40And the Kena’ani (Canaanite), the king of Arad, who dwelt in the south in the land of Kena’an (Canaan), heard of the coming of the children of Yisrael.

מוַיִּשְׁמַ֗ע הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ עֲרָ֔ד וְהֽוּא־יֹשֵׁ֥ב בַּנֶּ֖גֶב בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן בְּבֹ֖א בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

33:41And they departed from mount Hor, and encamped in Tzalmonah (Zalmonah).

מאוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵהֹ֣ר הָהָ֑ר וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּצַלְמֹנָֽה׃

33:42And they departed from Tzalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

מבוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִצַּלְמֹנָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּפוּנֹֽן׃

33:43And they departed from Punon, and encamped in Ovot (Oboth).

מגוַיִּסְע֖וּ מִפּוּנֹ֑ן וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּאֹבֹֽת׃

33:44And they departed from Ovot, and encamped in Iyei HaAvarim (Ije-abarim), on the border of Moav (Moab).

מדוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵאֹבֹ֑ת וַֽיַּחֲנ֛וּ בְּעִיֵּ֥י הָעֲבָרִ֖ים בִּגְב֥וּל מוֹאָֽב׃

33:45And they departed from Iyim (Iim), and encamped in Divon (Dibon) Gad (Dibon-gad).

מהוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵעִיִּ֑ים וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּדִיבֹ֥ן גָּֽד׃

33:46And they journeyed from Divon Gad, and encamped in Almon Divlatayim (Almon-diblathaim).

מווַיִּסְע֖וּ מִדִּיבֹ֣ן גָּ֑ד וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ בְּעַלְמֹ֥ן דִּבְלָתָֽיְמָה׃

33:47And they journeyed from Almon Divlatayim, and encamped in the mountains of Avarim (Abarim), before Nevo (Nebo).

מזוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵעַלְמֹ֣ן דִּבְלָתָ֑יְמָה וַֽיַּחֲנ֛וּ בְּהָרֵ֥י הָעֲבָרִ֖ים לִפְנֵ֥י נְבֽוֹ׃

33:48And they departed from the mountains of Avarim, and encamped in the plains of Moav by the Yarden (Jordan) near Yeriḥo (Jericho).

מחוַיִּסְע֖וּ מֵהָרֵ֣י הָעֲבָרִ֑ים וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ בְּעַֽרְבֹ֣ת מוֹאָ֔ב עַ֖ל יַרְדֵּ֥ן יְרֵחֽוֹ׃

33:49And they encamped by the Yarden, from Beit HaYeshimot (Beth-jesimoth) unto Avel HaShittim (Abel-shittim) in the plains of Moav.

מטוַיַּחֲנ֤וּ עַל־הַיַּרְדֵּן֙ מִבֵּ֣ית הַיְשִׁמֹ֔ת עַ֖ד אָבֵ֣ל הַשִּׁטִּ֑ים בְּעַֽרְבֹ֖ת מוֹאָֽב׃

33:50And Hashem spoke unto Moshe in the plains of Moav by the Yarden near Yeriḥo, saying,

נוַיְדַבֵּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֖ה בְּעַֽרְבֹ֣ת מוֹאָ֑ב עַל־יַרְדֵּ֥ן יְרֵח֖וֹ לֵאמֹֽר׃

33:51“Speak unto the children of Yisrael, and say unto them, ‘When you have passed over the Yarden into the land of Kena’an,

נאדַּבֵּר֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם כִּ֥י אַתֶּ֛ם עֹבְרִ֥ים אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן אֶל־אֶ֥רֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃

33:52then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their carved stones, and destroy all their molten images, and utterly demolish all their high places.

נבוְה֨וֹרַשְׁתֶּ֜ם אֶת־כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֤י הָאָ֨רֶץ֙ מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם וְאִ֨בַּדְתֶּ֔ם אֵ֖ת כָּל־מַשְׂכִּיֹּתָ֑ם וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־צַלְמֵ֤י מַסֵּֽכֹתָם֙ תְּאַבֵּ֔דוּ וְאֵ֥ת כָּל־בָּמֹתָ֖ם תַּשְׁמִֽידוּ׃

33:53And you shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell in it; for I have given you the land to possess it.

נגוְהוֹרַשְׁתֶּ֥ם אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ וִֽישַׁבְתֶּם־בָּ֑הּ כִּ֥י לָכֶ֛ם נָתַ֥תִּי אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ לָרֶ֥שֶׁת אֹתָֽהּ׃

33:54And you shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance; every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falls; according to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

נדוְהִתְנַחַלְתֶּם֩ אֶת־הָאָ֨רֶץ בְּגוֹרָ֜ל לְמִשְׁפְּחֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם לָרַ֞ב תַּרְבּ֤וּ אֶת־נַחֲלָתוֹ֙ וְלַמְעַט֙ תַּמְעִ֣יט אֶת־נַחֲלָת֔וֹ אֶל֩ אֲשֶׁר־יֵ֨צֵא ל֥וֹ שָׁ֛מָּה הַגּוֹרָ֖ל ל֣וֹ יִהְיֶ֑ה לְמַטּ֥וֹת אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם תִּתְנֶחָֽלוּ׃

33:55But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come to pass that those whom you let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall harass you in the land in which you dwell.

נהוְאִם־לֹ֨א תוֹרִ֜ישׁוּ אֶת־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָרֶץ֮ מִפְּנֵיכֶם֒ וְהָיָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תּוֹתִ֣ירוּ מֵהֶ֔ם לְשִׂכִּים֙ בְּעֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם וְלִצְנִינִ֖ם בְּצִדֵּיכֶ֑ם וְצָרֲר֣וּ אֶתְכֶ֔ם עַל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֖ם יֹשְׁבִ֥ים בָּֽהּ׃

33:56Moreover it shall come to pass that I shall do unto you as I thought to do unto them.’”

נווְהָיָ֗ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּמִּ֛יתִי לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת לָהֶ֖ם אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃
