Leviticus, Chapter 2

The law of the meal offering of fine flour with oil and frankincense, whether raw or baked in the oven, pan or frying pan, with its memorial portion burnt and the rest given to Aharon and his sons; no leaven or honey, every offering seasoned with salt, and the meal offering of firstfruits.

The meal offering of fine flour

2:1And when anyone will offer a meal offering unto Hashem, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense on it.

2:2And he shall bring it to Aharon’s sons the priests; and he shall take from it his handful of its flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Hashem.

2:3And the remnant of the meal offering shall be Aharon’s and his sons’; it is a thing most holy of the offerings of Hashem made by fire.

Meal offerings baked and fried

2:4And if you bring an oblation of a meal offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

2:5And if your oblation is a meal offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil.

2:6You shall part it in pieces, and pour oil on it; it is a meal offering.

2:7And if your oblation is a meal offering baked in the frying pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

2:8And you shall bring the meal offering that is made of these things unto Hashem; and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.

2:9And the priest shall take from the meal offering a memorial of it, and shall burn it upon the altar. It is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Hashem.

2:10And that which is left of the meal offering shall be Aharon’s and his sons’; it is a thing most holy of the offerings of Hashem made by fire.

No leaven, no honey, and salt

2:11No meal offering, which you shall bring unto Hashem, shall be made with leaven; for you shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of Hashem made by fire.

2:12As for the oblation of the firstfruits, you shall offer them unto Hashem; but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savor.

2:13And every oblation of your meal offering you shall season with salt; neither shall you allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your meal offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.

The meal offering of firstfruits

2:14And if you offer a meal offering of your firstfruits unto Hashem, you shall offer for the meal offering of your firstfruits green ears of grain dried by the fire, even grain beaten out of full ears.

2:15And you shall put oil upon it, and lay frankincense on it; it is a meal offering.

2:16And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of its beaten grain, and part of its oil, with all its frankincense. It is an offering made by fire unto Hashem.

Sources & method

Hebrew text
The Masoretic text with vowels (nikkud) and cantillation marks (ta’amim), from the Westminster Leningrad Codex (public domain) as published by the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (CC BY 4.0). Where the written text (ketiv) differs from the reading (qere), the reading is shown and the written form follows in small type. A paragraph mark (ס or פ) inside a verse is shown in small type.
English translation
The King James Version (public domain), lightly modernized by Benei Avraham: “thee/thou/ye” become “you,” older verb forms are updated (“hath” to “has”), and archaic words are replaced only where the meaning would otherwise be unclear. People and places carry their Hebrew names, with the King James spelling in parentheses the first time on each page (e.g., Yehudah (Judah)). The Divine Name (יהוה, “the LORD” in the KJV) is written “Hashem”; “God” (Elohim) is unchanged, and “law” is “Torah” where the Hebrew is תּוֹרָה.
Verse numbers
Verse numbers follow the Hebrew Bible. In Leviticus they differ from most English Bibles, or a verse is divided differently, in chapters 5 and 6; a note under the summary on those pages explains how.
