Nehemiah 7 (Nechemyah) in Hebrew and English

7:1Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levi’im (Levites) were appointed,

אוַיְהִ֗י כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר נִבְנְתָה֙ הַחוֹמָ֔ה וָאַעֲמִ֖יד הַדְּלָת֑וֹת וַיִּפָּֽקְד֛וּ הַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֥ים וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖ים וְהַלְוִיִּֽם׃

7:2That I gave my brother Chanani (Hanani), and Chananyah (Hananiah) the ruler of the palace, charge over Yerushalayim (Jerusalem): for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.

בוָאֲצַוֶּ֞ה אֶת־חֲנָ֣נִי אָחִ֗י וְאֶת־חֲנַנְיָ֛ה שַׂ֥ר הַבִּירָ֖ה עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם כִּי־הוּא֙ כְּאִ֣ישׁ אֱמֶ֔ת וְיָרֵ֥א אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים מֵרַבִּֽים׃

7:3And I said unto them, “Let not the gates of Yerushalayim be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.”

גוָאֹמַ֣ר (כתיב ויאמר) לָהֶ֗ם לֹ֣א יִפָּֽתְח֞וּ שַׁעֲרֵ֤י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֨ם֙ עַד־חֹ֣ם הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ וְעַ֨ד הֵ֥ם עֹמְדִ֛ים יָגִ֥יפוּ הַדְּלָת֖וֹת וֶאֱחֹ֑זוּ וְהַעֲמֵ֗יד מִשְׁמְרוֹת֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם אִ֚ישׁ בְּמִשְׁמָר֔וֹ וְאִ֖ישׁ נֶ֥גֶד בֵּיתֽוֹ׃

7:4Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.

דוְהָעִ֞יר רַחֲבַ֤ת יָדַ֨יִם֙ וּגְדוֹלָ֔ה וְהָעָ֥ם מְעַ֖ט בְּתוֹכָ֑הּ וְאֵ֥ין בָּתִּ֖ים בְּנוּיִֽם׃

7:5And my God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,

הוַיִּתֵּ֤ן אֱלֹהַי֙ אֶל־לִבִּ֔י וָאֶקְבְּצָ֞ה אֶת־הַחֹרִ֧ים וְאֶת־הַסְּגָנִ֛ים וְאֶת־הָעָ֖ם לְהִתְיַחֵ֑שׂ וָֽאֶמְצָ֗א סֵ֤פֶר הַיַּ֨חַשׂ֙ הָעוֹלִ֣ים בָּרִאשׁוֹנָ֔ה וָאֶמְצָ֖א כָּת֥וּב בּֽוֹ׃

7:6These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nevuchadnetzar (Nebuchadnezzar) the king of Bavel (Babylon) had carried away, and came again to Yerushalayim and to Yehudah (Judah), every one unto his city;

ואֵ֣לֶּה ׀ בְּנֵ֣י הַמְּדִינָ֗ה הָעֹלִים֙ מִשְּׁבִ֣י הַגּוֹלָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶגְלָ֔ה נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֖ר מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֑ל וַיָּשׁ֧וּבוּ לִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם וְלִיהוּדָ֖ה אִ֥ישׁ לְעִירֽוֹ׃

7:7Who came with Zerubavel (Zerubbabel), Yeshua (Jeshua), Nechemyah (Nehemiah), Azaryah (Azariah), Ra’amyah (Raamiah), Nachamani (Nahamani), Mordechai (Mordecai), Bilshan, Misperet (Mispereth), Bigvai, Nechum (Nehum), Ba’anah (Baanah). The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;

זהַבָּאִ֣ים עִם־זְרֻבָּבֶ֗ל יֵשׁ֡וּעַ נְחֶמְיָ֡ה עֲ֠זַרְיָה רַֽעַמְיָ֨ה נַחֲמָ֜נִי מָרְדֳּכַ֥י בִּלְשָׁ֛ן מִסְפֶּ֥רֶת בִּגְוַ֖י נְח֣וּם בַּעֲנָ֑ה מִסְפַּ֕ר אַנְשֵׁ֖י עַ֥ם יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

7:8The children of Par’osh (Parosh), two thousand a hundred seventy and two.

חבְּנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔שׁ אַלְפַּ֕יִם מֵאָ֖ה וְשִׁבְעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:9The children of Shefatyah (Shephatiah), three hundred seventy and two.

טבְּנֵ֣י שְׁפַטְיָ֔ה שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שִׁבְעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:10The children of Arach (Arah), six hundred fifty and two.

יבְּנֵ֣י אָרַ֔ח שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:11The children of Pachat Mo’av (Pahath-moab), of the children of Yeshua and Yo’av (Joab), two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.

יאבְּנֵֽי־פַחַ֥ת מוֹאָ֛ב לִבְנֵ֥י יֵשׁ֖וּעַ וְיוֹאָ֑ב אַלְפַּ֕יִם וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שְׁמֹנָ֥ה עָשָֽׂר׃

7:12The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

יבבְּנֵ֣י עֵילָ֔ם אֶ֕לֶף מָאתַ֖יִם חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃

7:13The children of Zatu (Zattu), eight hundred forty and five.

יגבְּנֵ֣י זַתּ֔וּא שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

7:14The children of Zakai (Zaccai), seven hundred and sixty.

ידבְּנֵ֣י זַכָּ֔י שְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת וְשִׁשִּֽׁים׃

7:15The children of Binui (Binnui), six hundred forty and eight.

טובְּנֵ֣י בִנּ֔וּי שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:16The children of Bevai (Bebai), six hundred twenty and eight.

טזבְּנֵ֣י בֵבָ֔י שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:17The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.

יזבְּנֵ֣י עַזְגָּ֔ד אַלְפַּ֕יִם שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:18The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and seven.

יחבְּנֵי֙ אֲדֹ֣נִיקָ֔ם שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שִׁשִּׁ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃

7:19The children of Bigvai, two thousand sixty and seven.

יטבְּנֵ֣י בִגְוָ֔י אַלְפַּ֖יִם שִׁשִּׁ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃

7:20The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.

כבְּנֵ֣י עָדִ֔ין שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

7:21The children of Ater of Chizkiyah (Hezekiah), ninety and eight.

כאבְּנֵֽי־אָטֵ֥ר לְחִזְקִיָּ֖ה תִּשְׁעִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:22The children of Chashum (Hashum), three hundred twenty and eight.

כבבְּנֵ֣י חָשֻׁ֔ם שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:23The children of Betzai (Bezai), three hundred twenty and four.

כגבְּנֵ֣י בֵצָ֔י שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃

7:24The children of Charif (Hariph), a hundred and twelve.

כדבְּנֵ֣י חָרִ֔יף מֵאָ֖ה שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

7:25The children of Givon (Gibeon), ninety and five.

כהבְּנֵ֥י גִבְע֖וֹן תִּשְׁעִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

7:26The men of Beit Lechem (Bethlehem) and Netofah (Netophah), a hundred eighty and eight.

כואַנְשֵׁ֤י בֵֽית־לֶ֨חֶם֙ וּנְטֹפָ֔ה מֵאָ֖ה שְׁמֹנִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:27The men of Anatot (Anathoth), a hundred twenty and eight.

כזאַנְשֵׁ֣י עֲנָת֔וֹת מֵאָ֖ה עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:28The men of Beit Azmavet (Beth-azmaveth), forty and two.

כחאַנְשֵׁ֥י בֵית־עַזְמָ֖וֶת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:29The men of Kiryat Ye’arim (Kirjath-jearim), Kefirah (Chephirah), and Be’erot (Beeroth), seven hundred forty and three.

כטאַנְשֵׁ֨י קִרְיַ֤ת יְעָרִים֙ כְּפִירָ֣ה וּבְאֵר֔וֹת שְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃

7:30The men of Ramah and Geva (Gaba), six hundred twenty and one.

לאַנְשֵׁ֤י הָֽרָמָה֙ וָגָ֔בַע שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְאֶחָֽד׃

7:31The men of Michmas, a hundred and twenty and two.

לאאַנְשֵׁ֣י מִכְמָ֔ס מֵאָ֖ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:32The men of Beit El (Bethel) and Ai, a hundred twenty and three.

לבאַנְשֵׁ֤י בֵֽית־אֵל֙ וְהָעָ֔י מֵאָ֖ה עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃

7:33The men of the other Nevo (Nebo), fifty and two.

לגאַנְשֵׁ֥י נְב֛וֹ אַחֵ֖ר חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:34The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

לדבְּנֵי֙ עֵילָ֣ם אַחֵ֔ר אֶ֕לֶף מָאתַ֖יִם חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃

7:35The children of Charim (Harim), three hundred and twenty.

להבְּנֵ֣י חָרִ֔ם שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃

7:36The children of Yericho (Jericho), three hundred forty and five.

לובְּנֵ֣י יְרֵח֔וֹ שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

7:37The children of Lod, Chadid (Hadid), and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one.

לזבְּנֵי־לֹד֙ חָדִ֣יד וְאוֹנ֔וֹ שְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְאֶחָֽד׃

7:38The children of Sena’ah (Senaah), three thousand nine hundred and thirty.

לחבְּנֵ֣י סְנָאָ֔ה שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֔ים תְּשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת וּשְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃

7:39The priests: the children of Yeda’yah (Jedaiah), of the house of Yeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.

לטהַֽכֹּהֲנִ֑ים בְּנֵ֤י יְדַֽעְיָה֙ לְבֵ֣ית יֵשׁ֔וּעַ תְּשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שִׁבְעִ֥ים וּשְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃

7:40The children of Imer (Immer), a thousand fifty and two.

מבְּנֵ֣י אִמֵּ֔ר אֶ֖לֶף חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:41The children of Pashchur (Pashur), a thousand two hundred forty and seven.

מאבְּנֵ֣י פַשְׁח֔וּר אֶ֕לֶף מָאתַ֖יִם אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃

7:42The children of Charim, a thousand and seventeen.

מבבְּנֵ֣י חָרִ֔ם אֶ֖לֶף שִׁבְעָ֥ה עָשָֽׂר׃

7:43The Levi’im: the children of Yeshua, of Kadmi’el (Kadmiel), and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.

מגהַלְוִיִּ֑ם בְּנֵֽי־יֵשׁ֧וּעַ לְקַדְמִיאֵ֛ל לִבְנֵ֥י לְהוֹדְוָ֖ה שִׁבְעִ֥ים וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃

7:44The singers: the children of Asaf (Asaph), a hundred forty and eight.

מדהַֽמְשֹׁרְרִ֑ים בְּנֵ֣י אָסָ֔ף מֵאָ֖ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:45The porters: the children of Shalum (Shallum), the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akuv (Akkub), the children of Chatita (Hatita), the children of Shovai (Shobai), a hundred thirty and eight.

מההַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֗ים בְּנֵֽי־שַׁלּ֤וּם בְּנֵֽי־אָטֵר֙ בְּנֵֽי־טַלְמֹ֣ן בְּנֵֽי־עַקּ֔וּב בְּנֵ֥י חֲטִיטָ֖א בְּנֵ֣י שֹׁבָ֑י מֵאָ֖ה שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃

7:46The Netinim (Nethinims): the children of Tzicha (Ziha), the children of Chasufa (Hashupha), the children of Taba’ot (Tabbaoth),

מוהַנְּתִינִ֑ים בְּנֵי־צִחָ֥א בְנֵי־חֲשֻׂפָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י טַבָּעֽוֹת׃

7:47The children of Keros, the children of Si’a (Sia), the children of Padon,

מזבְּנֵי־קֵירֹ֥ס בְּנֵי־סִיעָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י פָדֽוֹן׃

7:48The children of Levanah (Lebana), the children of Chagavah (Hagaba), the children of Shalmai,

מחבְּנֵי־לְבָנָ֥ה בְנֵי־חֲגָבָ֖ה בְּנֵ֥י שַׁלְמָֽי׃

7:49The children of Chanan (Hanan), the children of Gidel (Giddel), the children of Gachar (Gahar),

מטבְּנֵי־חָנָ֥ן בְּנֵי־גִדֵּ֖ל בְּנֵי־גָֽחַר׃

7:50The children of Re’ayah (Reaiah), the children of Retzin (Rezin), the children of Nekoda,

נבְּנֵי־רְאָיָ֥ה בְנֵי־רְצִ֖ין בְּנֵ֥י נְקוֹדָֽא׃

7:51The children of Gazam (Gazzam), the children of Uzza, the children of Paseach (Phaseah),

נאבְּנֵי־גַזָּ֥ם בְּנֵי־עֻזָּ֖א בְּנֵ֥י פָסֵֽחַ׃

7:52The children of Besai, the children of Me’unim (Meunim), the children of Nefishesim (Nephishesim),

נבבְּנֵי־בֵסַ֥י בְּנֵי־מְעוּנִ֖ים בְּנֵ֥י נְפִֽישְׁסִֽים (כתיב נפושסים)׃

7:53The children of Bakbuk, the children of Chakufa (Hakupha), the children of Charchur (Harhur),

נגבְּנֵי־בַקְבּ֥וּק בְּנֵֽי־חֲקוּפָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י חַרְחֽוּר׃

7:54The children of Batzlit (Bazlith), the children of Mechida (Mehida), the children of Charsha (Harsha),

נדבְּנֵי־בַצְלִ֥ית בְּנֵֽי־מְחִידָ֖א בְּנֵ֥י חַרְשָֽׁא׃

7:55The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamach (Tamah),

נהבְּנֵי־בַרְק֥וֹס בְּֽנֵי־סִֽיסְרָ֖א בְּנֵי־תָֽמַח׃

7:56The children of Netziach (Neziah), the children of Chatifa (Hatipha).

נובְּנֵ֥י נְצִ֖יחַ בְּנֵ֥י חֲטִיפָֽא׃

7:57The children of Shlomo’s (Solomon’s) servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Soferet (Sophereth), the children of Perida,

נזבְּנֵ֖י עַבְדֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה בְּנֵי־סוֹטַ֥י בְּנֵי־סוֹפֶ֖רֶת בְּנֵ֥י פְרִידָֽא׃

7:58The children of Ya’la (Jaala), the children of Darkon, the children of Gidel,

נחבְּנֵי־יַעְלָ֥א בְנֵי־דַרְק֖וֹן בְּנֵ֥י גִדֵּֽל׃

7:59The children of Shefatyah, the children of Chatil (Hattil), the children of Pocheret HaTzevayim (Pochereth of Zebaim), the children of Amon.

נטבְּנֵ֧י שְׁפַטְיָ֣ה בְנֵֽי־חַטִּ֗יל בְּנֵ֛י פֹּכֶ֥רֶת הַצְּבָיִ֖ים בְּנֵ֥י אָמֽוֹן׃

7:60All the Netinim, and the children of Shlomo’s servants, were three hundred ninety and two.

סכָּל־הַ֨נְּתִינִ֔ים וּבְנֵ֖י עַבְדֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת תִּשְׁעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:61And these were they which went up also from Tel Melach (Telmelah), Tel Charsha (Telharesha), Keruv (Cherub), Adon (Addon), and Imer: but they could not show their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.

סאוְאֵ֗לֶּה הָֽעוֹלִים֙ מִתֵּ֥ל מֶ֨לַח֙ תֵּ֣ל חַרְשָׁ֔א כְּר֥וּב אַדּ֖וֹן וְאִמֵּ֑ר וְלֹ֣א יָכְל֗וּ לְהַגִּ֤יד בֵּית־אֲבוֹתָם֙ וְזַרְעָ֔ם אִ֥ם מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵֽם׃

7:62The children of Delayah (Delaiah), the children of Toviyah (Tobiah), the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.

סבבְּנֵי־דְלָיָ֥ה בְנֵֽי־טוֹבִיָּ֖ה בְּנֵ֣י נְקוֹדָ֑א שֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃

7:63And of the priests: the children of Chovayah (Habaiah), the children of Hakotz (Koz), the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gil’adi (Gileadite) to wife, and was called after their name.

סגוּמִן־הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים בְּנֵ֥י חֳבַיָּ֖ה בְּנֵ֣י הַקּ֑וֹץ בְּנֵ֣י בַרְזִלַּ֗י אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָ֠קַח מִבְּנ֞וֹת בַּרְזִלַּ֤י הַגִּלְעָדִי֙ אִשָּׁ֔ה וַיִּקָּרֵ֖א עַל־שְׁמָֽם׃

7:64These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

סדאֵ֗לֶּה בִּקְשׁ֧וּ כְתָבָ֛ם הַמִּתְיַחְשִׂ֖ים וְלֹ֣א נִמְצָ֑א וַיְגֹֽאֲל֖וּ מִן־הַכְּהֻנָּֽה׃

7:65And the Tirshata (Tirshatha) said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Tummim (Thummim).

סהוַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַתִּרְשָׁ֨תָא֙ לָהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יֹאכְל֖וּ מִקֹּ֣דֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים עַ֛ד עֲמֹ֥ד הַכֹּהֵ֖ן לְאוּרִ֥ים וְתוּמִּֽים׃

7:66The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty,

סוכָּל־הַקָּהָ֖ל כְּאֶחָ֑ד אַרְבַּ֣ע רִבּ֔וֹא אַלְפַּ֖יִם שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵא֥וֹת וְשִׁשִּֽׁים׃

7:67Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.

סזמִ֠לְּבַד עַבְדֵיהֶ֤ם וְאַמְהֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ אֵ֔לֶּה שִׁבְעַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֔ים שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים וְשִׁבְעָ֑ה וְלָהֶ֗ם מְשֹֽׁרֲרִים֙ וּמְשֹׁ֣רֲר֔וֹת מָאתַ֖יִם וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃

7:68Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty donkeys.

סחגְּמַלִּ֕ים אַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים וַחֲמִשָּׁ֑ה ס חֲמֹרִ֕ים שֵׁ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֔ים שְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃

7:69And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshata gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.

סטוּמִקְצָת֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י הָֽאָב֔וֹת נָתְנ֖וּ לַמְּלָאכָ֑ה הַתִּרְשָׁ֜תָא נָתַ֣ן לָאוֹצָ֗ר זָהָ֞ב דַּרְכְּמֹנִ֥ים אֶ֨לֶף֙ מִזְרָק֣וֹת חֲמִשִּׁ֔ים כָּתְנוֹת֙ כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים שְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃

7:70And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.

עוּמֵֽרָאשֵׁ֣י הָֽאָב֗וֹת נָֽתְנוּ֙ לְאוֹצַ֣ר הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה זָהָ֕ב דַּרְכְּמוֹנִ֖ים שְׁתֵּ֣י רִבּ֑וֹת וְכֶ֕סֶף מָנִ֖ים אַלְפַּ֥יִם וּמָאתָֽיִם׃

7:71And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty and seven priests’ garments.

עאוַאֲשֶׁ֣ר נָתְנוּ֮ שְׁאֵרִ֣ית הָעָם֒ זָהָ֗ב דַּרְכְּמוֹנִים֙ שְׁתֵּ֣י רִבּ֔וֹא וְכֶ֖סֶף מָנִ֣ים אַלְפָּ֑יִם וְכָתְנֹ֥ת כֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים שִׁשִּׁ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָֽה׃

7:72So the priests, and the Levi’im, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Netinim, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

עבוַיֵּשְׁב֣וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהַלְוִיִּ֡ם וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִים֩ וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֨ים וּמִן־הָעָ֧ם וְהַנְּתִינִ֛ים וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּעָרֵיהֶ֑ם וַיִּגַּע֙ הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י וּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּעָרֵיהֶֽם׃
